Gespielt wurden die Partien 1–8 und 24–25 in Wiesbaden, 9–11 in Heidelberg, 12–17 in Berlin, 18–19 und 23 in Den Haag, 20 in Rotterdam und 21–22 in Amsterdam. Sieger sollte derjenige sein, der zuerst 15½ Punkte und 6 gewonnene Partien erzielte.
